After getting saved, people often expect to be magically transformed into model Christians overnight. This is a prevalent, but unrealistic expectation. So what, then, should a daily walk with Christ look like? Without daily immersion in the Bible and the fortification of prayer, it quickly becomes discouraging trying to decipher if we are in God’s will. Ever reach a point where you can’t figure out if God is in working in your life at all? How do we know if we are in the faith? 2 Corinthians 13:5 teaches, “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified”(NKJV). How can we do this successfully?
A BOUNTY OF THE DESTITUTE
“Being justified freely by His grace. . . .”
The Gospel of the grace of God awakens an intense longing in human souls and an equally intense resentment, because the revelation which it brings is not palatable. There is a certain pride in man that will give and give, but to come to accept is another thing. I will give myself in consecration, I will do anything, but do not humiliate me to the level of the most hell-deserving sinner and tell me that all I have to do
