In-Person Gathering Update from Pastor Ted

Hey Reliance Church!

I’m sure you’ve seen in the news that President Trump held a press conference yesterday calling upon governors to allow churches to meet for in-person services immediately. This is welcomed news, but in my opinion, the even better news was the presentation that followed our President’s announcement from his medical team explaining how we are making progress across the country to reduce the spread of infection, helping to make safe gatherings possible! Thank you, Lord!

I’m so very proud of our team in how they mobilized to minister to the flock, giving us the tools we need to gather online and to continue to preach the Gospel. I’ve been so encouraged to see all of your familiar faces joining us, as well as many others…not only from other states, but from across the world!  Truly, God is using this recent crisis for good and we are seeing many who would never come to church, tuning-in and receiving Christ as their Savior and Lord!

One such person is a lady named Jean who is 94 years old. Jean was unsaved and had declined the prior invitations of her daughter to attend Reliance Church in-person. However, during the pandemic, Jean joined us online. She heard the Gospel and prayed to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior! Now she wants to be baptized and we’re making plans to do that right away!

Speaking of plans, you’ll be pleased to know that our staff has been working tirelessly with pastors & ministry support agencies from across the country, as well as local, State, and Federal sources, on plans to resume our in-person gatherings and we will be sharing those plans with you all in just a couple of days.  We expect to be resuming in-person services within a week or two, but please keep in mind that things are changing rapidly and subject to change.  We are doing everything we can to present you and your family with as many meeting options as possible and we can’t tell you enough how much we value your prayers and your patience!

In the meantime, don’t forget our drive-in service THIS Sunday at 9am at Linfield Christian School. It is going to be a great time and of course, our on-line services are always available on Saturdays at 5pm & Sundays at 9am, 11am, 5pm & 7pm.
