“Let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17
Our heart behind this update is to bring awareness to some Reliance Church Missionaries, to let you know what they are doing, and how we can pray for them.
Dan & Joan Rulison currently serve in Siberia and work with Justus & Rebecca Walker, who have had a fruitful ministry planting churches and teaching communities to farm for the last 12 years. Recently, because of new laws, doors which were once wide open have begun to close.
They have now moved to an area near Altai Krai. It has a population of about 16,000 people and with no churches in any of the nearby nine villages. They were able to find property from owners willing and anxious to sell. Just as they were getting ready to make the purchase, a wealthy and influential local businessman came against the selling of the property. It seems they are back to square one and in need of prayer.
They are now living in a church in Solonehnoye, about 15 miles from their intended new farmland. As a team, they are taking three days to fast, pray and seek the Lord about how to move forward.
Well, because of the faithfulness of their prayers, the Lord has opened a door for them to purchase some property in Stepnoye, which has 17 villages within 61 km of the actual homesite, with a total population of over 5,000. The land has 2 streams and multiple springs of water which will be both a water source and electrical power supply. The 2 families who sold them the land told them that this valley is called (literally) Meadow of Light. Praise the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness!
- Being able to procure building materials and the ability to move forward with construction quickly.
- Finances for building the milk parlor/garage/house combo building.
Please feel free to contact any of our missionaries to encourage them and let them know you are praying for them.
