Vacation Bible School: Day One
What an amazing first day at the Reliance Church 2013 Vacation Bible School (VBS). We had over a hundred volunteers who have been working hard for weeks to make this a reality and we are already seeing the fruits of their labor and of God’s provision. Almost 600 kids came out to play games, make new friends, and most importantly, to hear about Jesus. Today was by far the largest children’s outreach we’ve ever done and we’re thrilled to get the opportunity to do it four more times this week! We’re blown away that God is not only using Reliance Church as a way to reach kids from Temecula, Murrieta, and Menifee, but He has also given us the ability to offer this VBS to the community completely free of cost for the second year in a row now!
We still have a long way to go, but we couldn’t feel more blessed, encouraged, and humbled to be used by God in such a key way in these kids lives. We wanted to share some of the photos we took today and we hope to follow this post up with even more photos, praise reports, and even a video recap. So stay tuned!
Luke 18:16 says “But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” and at Reliance, we take this scripture very seriously. We ask for your continued prayer for the entire Reliance team, and we ask that you would pray for God to move and work in and through this next generation of believers.
