The Reliance Student Ministry, or RSM as we call it, is dedicated to disciplining teens to be like Jesus. RSM focuses on exhorting high school and jr. high students to strengthen and live out their faith. We are unashamed of the Gospel in a world that is growing increasingly hostile toward the inexorable truth of God’s Word (NKJV, 1 Cor. 11:1). We strive to cultivate high school students’ faith to permeate every part of their lives, accomplishing this through the power of the Spirit of God and clear biblical teaching. RSM Jr. High meets each Saturday at 5pm and Sundays at 9am and 11:00am in the chapel, high school students sit in the sanctuary.
Romans 10:17 states, “So then faith [comes] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God,” hence, we teach teens to take personal ownership for their faith.
Romans 12:2 counsels, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God,” thus we urge our teens to live their lives sold out for the Lord.
1Timothy 4:12 (NIV) urges, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity,” therefore, we are committed to raising up bold leaders whose radiant faith will conspicuously shine in a world that desperately needs the light of Jesus.
RSM Midweek is a weekly gathering on Wednesday Nights at the Main Campus for jr. high students, high schoolers will meet in a home, where we will play games, worship Jesus, and then break into small groups where we study God’s Word.
