Prayer is an essential part of the Christian life. Jesus made prayer a priority in His daily incarnational life (Mark 1:35); He encouraged His disciples to pray (Luke 18:01); and we’re told in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 that we are to pray without ceasing. The Book of James exhorts us to pray for each other as a church family and instructs the members of the church to seek-out the leaders of the church to pray for them (James 5:13-18).
