Men’s Retreat 2010

The Lord never ceases to amaze me, our latest Men’s Retreat was a truly an awesome time with the Lord and the men of Reliance! I could go on to talk about the awesome time of shooting, basketball, football, bacon eating, and all around good time, but in my opinion that all pales in comparison to the sweet time we had with Jesus! He showed us all areas in our life where we needed to take a stand as men, husbands, and fathers for the Lord.

I’ve found that as long as I walk with the Lord and as close as I think I get to Him, I can always get closer and walk stronger. This retreat spoke to me about implementing the things that the Lord has been revealing to me into my everyday life. I am convinced that the Lord spoke to his men about leading there families in devotions, which helps us really connect with our families. It seems that one of the biggest battles in our spiritual walk is just simply getting to the things that the Lord wants us to be at. The enemy knows that when we surrender the time that is given to us, and lay it back at HIS feet, that he will meet us, and pour His spirit upon us in a fresh way to accomplish the things that He is trying to work out in our Lives. Men listen if you missed this opportunity to come away with the Lord, it’s not to late to meet with Him. It’s real simple… Wake up! That’s it. Wake up tomorrow morning early. Start with 15 minutes and grab your bible and go away with your God. When you come home grab your families and share with them what the Lord has shown you.I promise you that this will be the hardest yet most simple things you will have to do. Also don’t miss out on our next Men’s breakfast JUNE 19 at 8 am here at the church. Men the Lord has a mighty work He wants to do in your life, but He will not do it without you. Allow Him to work through you and don’t be discouraged. Keep pressing in.
